The Sanctuary presents an evening of music with acclaimed singer- songwriter Joanne Rand, and eminently talented musicians: violinist Rob Diggins, pianist Tim Randalls and guitarist Piet Dalmolen. Rand’s 16th CD release will benefit The Sanctuary, dedicated to creative growth through the arts. Located on the corner of 13th and J Streets in Arcata, doors are at 7:30, show at 8. After 30-plus years of touring, songsmith folk-rocker Joanne Rand is currently releasing her 16th CD, "Roses in the Snow & Drought," and melding with four eminently talented players. They call themselves Rand-Randles- Diggins-Dalmolen, dubbed a "supergroup" at the 2016 Humboldt Folklife Festival. Once voted North Bay Area’s Best Acoustic Band, Rand shares her brand of roots music, fiery anthems & stories. Her 15th CD made a folk DJ’s most-played list nationwide. Rand's quartet, spins its musical web on both recordings, mixed by the gifted producer, Stephen Hart (Santana, David Bowie, Bonnie Raitt, White Stripes, Stevie Ray Vaughn).
