Bandemonium will be presenting a live performance of SANTAmonium as well as a collaboration with the Friends of the Arcata Library of a performance of the Charles Dickens Christmas Carol with a live musical score by Gregg Moore. This year disc sales are going to benefit the Sanctuary. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to support a valuable community resource and enjoy a unique alternative take on the traditional holiday repertoire.
Since 2006 Bandemonium has been promoting an alternative voice in wind & percussion ensembles for the Northcoast of California and contributing it’s Joyful Noise in the Streets to an almost endless variety of worthy community causes. In the process the group has provided a valuable no-pressure learning space for many young musicians as well as adults ‘re-starting’ a personal relationship with music or finally getting around to beginning one.
December 24th // James Zeller and John Wood with special guests
doors 6:30 show at 7pm // $15 // tickets at Wildwood Music and the Sanctuary
James Zeller, trombonist singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, will host and open the show with a short set of new songs written in the last year, ranging from the serious to downright silly with a love song or two in the mix. Then he will be joined by his friend of over 30 years and musical collaborator of over 25 years, John Wood, in their first public performance since the start of the pandemic. John is a pianist, vocalist and composer with a long and illustrious career. After James and John get their kicks (expect the unexpected from these two), they will be joined by other special, secret local virtuoso guests.
Proof of COVID vaccination or negative PCR lab result (within 48 hours) plus photo ID required by the board for live audience members. Masks required.
All shows this month will include a holiday sale of local art by Sanctuary artists. Cash and check preferred, Venmo and Paypal accepted.
