Mask play workshop at the Sanctuary, Arcata. Sunday Nov 17th, 10am - 4pm.

Our lives are played out daily through the masks we put on, whether they be happy, sad, joyful or mad. The way our bodies respond to everyday experiences contains both the past and present moments. Emotions are often beyond words and so we turn to the expressive arts. This mask and movement workshop takes a close look at mask play and the way our bodies respond to our own stories. We will look together into the rituals of mask play to improve our abilities to perform and create, as well as to look at the stories of our lives. Join us on a trip through different ways of being, to find your own healing mask.
